Dreaming of Spring

I am having a GIVEAWAY !!! Click here to check it out!

I know that everyone is preparing for Valentine's Day and romantic dinners and all but I was just in a Springy mood after all of the Gloomy days that we have been having lately.  It was even difficult to take these pictures because of all the gray outside.
I was also feeling Simplistic.  Is that a feeling?
I wanted a Simple uncluttered table.

I think that this table will be perfect for Brunch on Sunday!  Wouldn't you love to linger at this table and read the paper with a cup of coffee, some juice and a croissant?
This is a lovely comfy chair pulled in from the Living Room .  Would you like to sit here?
Here is a closeup of the Bee Pillow that I found at Hautelook for some ridiculous price like $9.00
Or would you like to sit here?
Or maybe this chair that I stole from the Master Bedroom, took the slipcover off of, and Stenciled a Fleur de Lis onto.
 Wherever you sit
the soft whites, grays and faded blues will be be there to greet you.
Little Moss Pots at each setting
mark the beginning of Spring.
Antique family salt bowls sparkle and mirror
the crystal candle holders.

A bowl of Green Apples in the middle of the table is like a breath of fresh air.
Sweet Birds perch atop glass candleholders
They too are ready for warmer weather...

The Sideboard was layered with a mix of  textures,
shapes and finishes.
I love to add rustic elements to more formal pieces
like the natural nest basket that I bought at an Estate sale for $3.00
with the shiny silver platters.
The basket had a hideous 80's rose and blue bow on it when I found it.
I'm glad that I rescued it in time...

The wine box holds a collection of Silver platters.
I don't mind the tarnish on a few of them.
It makes them seem older to me .
I ordered these luncheon plates from One Kings Lane.
I love the soft blue color.
It's the same color as my Ceiling in the dining room.
I know it's hard to tell in this picture.  It's also in my Living Room on the coffered ceiling.
The color is Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue.
One color lighter than the color of the year Wythe Blue.
It's been my color of the year for three years now!
But I digress...
The crown dinner plates are also from One Kings Lane.  I'm in love with crowns right now.
And the Fleur de Lis chargers...Also from One Kings Lane.
I ordered 8 and one broke during shipping.
Unfortunately that's all they had,
so sorry,
only Seven of you can come for dinner.
Placemats and Napkins were from Tuesday Morning.  And the wonderful soft tablecloth is a quilt thrown over the table.
Makes you want to snuggle up doesn't it?

What a pretty setting! So fresh and chic. I love the dinnerware...crowns and fleur de lis are my faves! The silver platters in the wine box are gorgeous! I'm truly inspired!

I would be happy to sit at any of the three lovely chairs you showed. I love how you put the table in front of the fireplace - so beautiful and so romantic!

I agree, the pop of green from the apples and the moss are the perfect pop of color to remind us that spring green is on the way.

I love all of your plates. I haven't heard of One King's Lane. I have the same aqua plates from Tai Pan and the crown plates from Home Goods, but you can't ever get any more from Home Goods. I would love to be able to order some if needed.

Have a lovely week!

I think I need to check out One King's Lane! Such pretty things you found there! I love the clean and fresh look of your table, and I'm going to show your ceiling to my husband! We have coffered ceilings in our LR and DR, but they are not as pretty as yours!

Love the softness of this tablescape and you're right - perfect for a cozy a.m. of reading the paper. Feels very luxe.

First of all, thank you for visiting my Comfortscape and leaving such a heartwarming comment. Second, I'm so glad you did because it led mr to your beautiful tablescape. The green apples make me think of fresh, tender leaves that will soon appear on the trees, and the blues mirror a spring sky. You are so right about the light--I seem to be chasing it from November until mid-March. I can't wait for longer days, but they are coming, as your tablescape beautifully reminds us!

I'm not even sure where to start. I think I'll start by coming over with a long straw to suck the creativity right out of your brain! :-) This is beautiful!!! You really hit pay dirt with this bad boy!!! I love the little clay pots, and the dishes (oh, how I love the dishes...both the king's crown ones AND the fleur de lis!!!), and the chairs!!! You stenciled that fleur de lis on there? Seriously...I've said it before, and this time I'm not playin' with you. Get your little hips on over here to my house pronto!!! I NEED you!!!!!! This table does have a feeling of the first part of Spring, but it also very effectively envelopes the look one might want for a cozy Winter's evening in. It's beautiful! I'll expect you in the morning. I'll have coffee & donuts waiting! :-)

Oh Cindy, I am really taken with your tablescape and the ceilings. This blue is my favorite. You have done such an outstanding job. Funny, I have been thinking about Spring tablescapes this week. Guess I have moved past Valentine's Day, I bought blue dishes this week at TJ Max so really have blue on my mind. I don't have any candles to match mine yet but I'll work on that. I agree with Alycia about getting together and sharing thoughts. I am considering taking Alycia's class in March. Thanks for sharing your creative mind.

I really love this setting. There is something about granny smith apples that appeals to me. They just have the exact right pop. I'm also crazy about the way you did the silver trays and platters in the wooden box. The contrast is stunning. Have box... will copy. Grin.

The silver platters in the box are simply splendid. I just received some stamps from OKL and will have fun with them. I try desperately not to look there that often. The crown plates are darling. hugs, olive
