Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time!

I hope you all have a
Very Merry Christmas!
My favorite part of Christmas
is having every one together
and laughing and having a good time.
We laughed a lot while we tried to take this picture!

I was so happy to coordinate
our office charity this year
for Operation Breakthrough.
Operation Breakthrough
is a local center for children
and every year we adopt children
and buy gifts on their list.
These may be the only gifts they receive this year.
Our office also raised money
for their Holiday Dinner
and a gift card for the mother.
I am so proud of our office!
To me this is what Christmas is all about!

Thank you again to all of my followers
and for your support and kind comments.

Merry Christmas!
Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves

Here We Go A Caroling!

Are you all ready for Christmas?
Are your presents all wrapped? (mine aren't)
Is your menu all planned?
Is your table all set?
Well there is one thing I can check off the list.
This table setting is for Christmas Eve.
I've had these Carolers forever.
I love that they are timeless in their plaid and red velvet.
A few years ago I picked up a set
of the Christmas Carols salad plates
after Christmas at Williams Sonoma.
They go so well with the Pottery Barn Plaid
dishes and some gold chargers that I had on hand.
I used the flatware that I picked up at World Market
and Ralph Lauren napkins from Tuesday Morning.
The drums on this plate jogged
my memory of a pair of drums
that I had in the storage area.
I placed one of the Carolers on top of one
and put a plaid bow atop the other.
There used to be a place in California
when I lived there called Shinoda
where I bought these drums.
It was a wholesale place to buy all kinds
of decorative items like greenery, baskets, ribbon
and all things Christmas!
I miss that place.
Around Thanksgiving they would
showcase all of the Christmas trees
that they had created.
It was a great place to go for inspiration!

I tied a piece of jute with an acorn hot glued
on it around the napkin
and placed some berries inside.
I have had more fun with my tables
this year than ever!
Maybe it's because my creativity outlet
has been squashed by this whole house sale thing.
I'm not complaining...
well a little bit...
but it is hard to keep everything
clean and put away.
I'm kind of a messy creative person
and so I hate to drag all the stuff out
knowing that I am going to make a mess.
I used the last of my fresh greens above the table.
I bought two at Costco after Thanksgiving
and kept them in the garage where it is cool.
They last a long time!
Merry Christmas to all of my readers!
Have a safe and wonderful holiday
with your family and friends.
I can't wait to just relax and enjoy everyone!
Check out my table that I shared yesterday
if you are looking for table ideas...

Better get to the wrapping!

Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves,

Red and White Christmas Wonderland

Every year around this time
I get excited to bring out my Christmas dishes
and use them in a new and different way.
This year I decided to stick
with my overall red and white Christmas theme.
It all began with the red and white
Christmas Crackers that I found at Home Goods.
We love opening the crackers and reading
the riddles and jokes at the dinner table.
And the paper hats always make for fun pictures.
I tied up my silver and red napkins
with white yarn and tucked a little greenery
in the middle.
Classic Christmas colors.
The white chargers are from One King's Lane
and my Christmas dishes were purchased
at Macy's about 15 years ago.
The salad plates have a
"Night Before Christmas" theme.

The snowy white deer taking center stage
were a last minute buy at Tuesday Morning.
I saw them earlier in the week
but hemmed and hawed about whether
or not to buy them.
I went back this weekend
and was so happy that they were still there!
I sprinkled snow on a white runner
around them and added a few
natural pine cones.
I filled the two hurricane glasses
with cranberries and greens
surrounding a candle.
I bought the mirrored candle squares
at an Estate sale this summer.
A plaid wool throw rests on the host
and hostess chair
to add some cozy goodness.
I pick these throws up at Estate sales
whenever I find them.
I never pay more than $10.00.
I took an idea from Pinterest
and tied some red ribbon
around my skirted chairs
and added a glass pine cone
and some greenery.

In keeping with the red and white theme
I filled my vintage antler ice bucket
with red and white roses.
It just looks so wintery to me.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
And to All a Good Night!
Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves,
