Good Morning to Everyone!
I'm sure you are all getting ready for the holidays
and as busy as I am this Monday morning.
I wanted to share a quick and easy vase
for your holiday flowers.
I was researching inexpensive floral ideas
for Mr. Beaux's Company Party that was on Friday.
I came across this cute Candy Cane Vase on Pinterest
A 28oz can (I had made some Nordstrom Tomato Soup that week, YUM!)
Candy Canes
Ribbon
Glue Gun
Floral Foam
Flowers
Just glue the candy canes onto the can.
I started with the line on the seam of the can to keep them in line.
You can see that the bottom is a tad messy.
I glued the little wrapper ends down and covered it with a piece of cardstock that I cut into a circle.
I added a cute grosgrain ribbon and double tied it around.
You can put a little dab of glue onto it if you want.
I bought this wet floral foam at the Dollar Store.
and you have a sweet Holiday Centerpiece!
Come back all week and I will have fun Hostess Gifts, Tablescapes and other fun projects for you as you get ready for the big day!
Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves,
XO Cindy

Cindy, what a cute idea.
I've been doing the candy cane vases since I first saw the idea in Southern Living Magazine. My son, who is now 30, gave one to his 4th grade teacher, so the candy cane vase has been around a while. Thanks to Pinterest, it's getting some new "press." From experience the real canes will last from year to year if not unwrapped and carefully stored (out of attics!) and bracing under the necks. Several years ago I went to dollar store canes and these work just as well and will last forever. This is one of my favorite decorations - I plan to use roses with carnations this year. Giving one of these as a gift is always sure to delight to recipient. Theresa Ball

Love this, Cindy! I think I have something like this pinned. I did wonder if you took the wrappers off or not. Glad you touched on that in your directions. : )
