False Hopes of Spring

When I woke up this morning the weatherman said
 a chance of Snow.
I laughed and drank another cup of coffee as I planned out my errands for the day.
Yesterday was beautiful and Sunny with a high of 72.
See all that white stuff in the background?
 Yep, it's snow.
It's a big slushy mess out there right now.
There go all of my plans for running a thousand errands that includes shopping for ingredients to bake
a Sweet and Salty Chocolate Caramel Cake
for Miss Beaux's Birthday
on Sunday.
Oh well, I have a thousand things to do around the house.
I could start with polishing this silver
that I bought at an estate sale yesterday.
  It dates back to 1904
and it belonged to a lady that was a Singer/Songwriter in the 50's I think.
Almost a full set of Monogrammed Rogers Bros.Silverplate with a lot of Serving pieces for $180.
Or, I could just do what the dogs do on a day like this...
Or better yet, I can light the fireplace and catch up on my Blogging!
Whatever YOU do I hope you have a great weekend!
Look for my Guest Room Reveal next week.
I PROMISE!!!

Until next time,
Beaux R'eves
XO Cindy

The doggies are darling and doing just what I wish I were doing!

No snow for us but a lot of rain and gloom. Where is our snow?!

Love the silver. Most of mine is from estate sales, all mismatched, but I did get a full set a few years ago for $40.00. I seriously need serving pieces though.

Have a great weekend and Happy Birthday to your daughter! :)

XO,
Jane

OOHHH nice one on the silverware - gorgeous pieces.

Me? I would polish the silver THEN reward myself with blogging.

It is more enjoyable without guilt.

Have a fabulous weekend whatever you decide to do!!!

Cindy,
You got the snow and we got the buckets of rain! Your three pups are the sweetest! I can barely keep up with my two!
Love your silver, excellent find!
Looking forward to seeing your guest room!

How crazy to be 71 one day and snowing the next. Georgia often has weather like that, but not this year. I don't think we've had even a flake! The doggies look like they have the right idea!

Excellent score on the silver flatware! I love that you know something of the owner's history. Snow shouldn't bother you when you are covered for any "3 dog nights". ~ Maureen

Love it that I found your blog. I must live somewhat near you, since I recognized Mary Carol and we had the same snow this morning:) Fun!

I love your silver and that's great that you know a little bit about the prior owner. I have 3 complete sets of silverplate and use them all. When I needed a few missing pieces I found them on eBay or replacements limited. I also love all your dogs. We have a Cavalier King Charles also and she is the sweetest dog!

I wish we would get a little snow. You could've sent it my way and I would've been happy. Looks like we're going to go this whole year without getting any. Your new silver sure is pretty. I hate polishing it though. But, it would look so pretty when it's done. Your dogs look very comfortable. Don't they just have the best life? This weekend went by too fast!
