Copycat Flowers

Rain, Rain, Rain for us this week!
Hard to believe it is almost
officially Summertime!
It's a great time though,
to curl up with a good book.
I found this book at
an Estate Sale on Saturday.
Yes, the same sale
where I found my Silver Tea Set
that you can see HERE.
It had some really fun arrangements
that were different from your
typical flower arrangements.
They looked relatively easy
to make and they also showed
you how to make each one.
This strawberry arrangement
looked nice and summery
and I had everything I needed on hand.
A basket of strawberries,
a clear footed bowl,
a clear vase, and flowers.
I had some white roses
from the supermarket
and the rest of the flowers
I cut from the yard.
I first put water in the inner vase
and set it in the clear footed bowl.
I stuck a little bit of chewing gum
on the bottom to make sure it would stick.
I filled the bowl with the berries and went to work
arranging the flowers.
The directions said to
arrange them by color
so I grouped the whites first,
added the dark pinks,
the yellow daylilies
and then the purple flowers.
The grasses were added last.
To get them to curl a little
just wrap them around your hand
for a minute or two.
Well, how did I do?
Wouldn't this be fun for a Brunch?
What are you reading in the rain?
Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves

I love this! I've seen citrus, eggs, asparagus but never seen strawberries used like this, so perfect for summer! Great look, thanks!
