OK Everyone, I know I must be the LAST person in Blogland to own a Doughbowl!
Trust me I've been dreaming of owning my own
doughbowl for quite some time.
I've even decorated it in my mind for every season.
(Hey, I redecorate every room I enter in my mind and I KNOW that you do it too!)
I have passed them up a few times just because I have a hard time spending over $100 for an old piece of wood.
But this week was my Lucky week!
I spied on at an Estate Sale that started on Thursday.
It was the first one I hit on my rounds.
There she was waiting in the Basement for me!
It was $65 and came with the Pinecones.
Hey, I'll take them!
It was a tad dusty so I polished her up a bit.
Ohhhhhh, Looking pretty!
I guess if you were going to knead dough in this you should use Mineral Oil or Almond Oil.
I am only going to use it for decoration purposes so I used what was handy.
Wouldn't it look wonderful with Hydrangeas
in the Spring or Summer?
Or, Simple Candles anytime of year?
Or, A Harvest full of gourds and leaves.
Yep, I thrilled to finally own a Doughbowl!
And I saved some Dough too!
PS. Come back to see what else I scored this week! And, a tour of my Fall Kitchen and Hearth Room.

I recently bought a dough bowl that is huge - too big. I think it's too big for a table top, but I got caught up in the moment when I saw it. I call it my canoe. It is leaning against the wall in our kitchen and looks nice there.
Great find, Cindy! They really are so versatile for seasonal decorating. You've filled yours wonderfully! I'm excited to see your other finds and your fall decor!
Great find! Your dough bowl is the perfect size! I love it and love the way you decorated it!
I love dough bowls too. My mother had one that I would love to have, but my sister was the 'smart' one who got it. I hope her children realize what they have, since she is no longer living. I have thought many times about asking for it, but don't want to seem greedy. Yours is beautiful, and I know you will enjoy it so much!
Love yours! I'm still waiting to find mine!
Nancy
Great find! She looks pretty all polished up and decorated with fall goodies!
Oh no. I think I have seen a couple. But I only saw the before in my head. Now seeing yours all polished up and displayed so nicely on the granite...I want one now!! Love it.
You're not the last to own one! I've been wanting to find one forever, but just like you, I couldn't find one under $100 or so. I finally found one this last weekend as well and it was a splurge as I spent over $100, but it's a giant one though... I have a fairly large table so I think it's okay, but I can't wait to decorate with it! I'm just happy to finally have one...
I have serious dough bowl envy! ~ Maureen
LOVE your new dough bowl, it's awesome!
I would probably be the last one owning one...my mother in law has one, and I love the look of it!
I have wanted one of these forever!!! My grandmother had one and when I see one I can envision her standing over her dough bowl making her wonderful homemade biscuits or pie crust. I was sure hoping to get hers when she passed away but it ended up in another relatives hands and was quickly sold, much to my dismay.
Thanks for the fond memories, enjoy!

You're so lucky! I'd love to have a dough bowl for my coffee table.
You are going to have sooooo much fun with this bowl. I have several, and they are all so much fun to change up. Thanks for sharing it at my party this week.
Blessings,
Linda
I'm still waiting to find my own dough bowl. Cindy! You were definitely not the last. LOL Yours is gorgeous and it will be very versatile. :-)
You are definitely not the last! I have been craving one for a long time as well, but also can't justify spending that much! Someday I'll find a perfect one I am sure :)
LOVE your doughbowl! I didn't luck up on one that I was willing to pay for until this summer. It's smaller than yours, but was only $28. Great tip for giving it a "drink". Loved all of the inspiration.
Good buy! Great dough bowl. And no, you are not the last person in blogland to own one. I still don't have one!
Great find. I love it sine it can be used several ways.
Love your dough bowl Cindy and at such a good price. I must admit I don't own one but sure wish I did. I must start looking. Thanks for sharing.
Ewwww - I love your dough bowl {no I don't owe one} - great find!
I wasn't so sure about the dough bowl, until I saw it all cleaned and polished up. My goodness, it's gorgeous! Fantastic find. (And yes, it looks fab with the hydrangeas, candles AND fall gourds!)
