I took a lot of pictures the day
that all of my company arrived.
Hey, house was clean
and fancied up
what better time to take a few photos?
I haven't shown you the updates
for Spring/Summer
in the Kitchen and Hearth Room.
Plus, I am sure that you are wondering
where all of my
Estate Sale Goodies have landed.
I know that you are lying awake
at night awaiting the updates...
Well, even if you aren't
it will be fun for you to take a look.
See, there are even things
that you haven't seen yet!
Like this adorable little cow
made out of wood.
I found him in the kitchen
of a lovely French style home for $7.00.
See his tag that says "moo".
So cute!
I would turn him around,
but he is missing an ear!
Oooopppsss!
But I thought that maybe,
just maybe if I rescued him
I could fashion an ear out of something.
Or maybe, he is just the cute cow with the missing ear...
I also placed my copper pot
in the dish cupboard
with a cow painting
and a boxwood wreath.
Are you sensing a theme here?
I was thinking Farmhouse,
red and white,
lots of white dishes
copper pieces,
and of course Cows!
That is one of the things I like about living in Kansas.
One could drive about five minutes
out of the city
and be in a completely rural area
with cows and horses and farmland.
This pitcher is usually turned around...
But with Farmhouse being the theme,
it fits right in!
The burlap is still attached to the back
of the dish cupboard.
I like it for now...
Gives a rustic feel to everything.
More of my copper collection
and another cow print.
All Estate Sale Finds.
This is Prime Estate Sale season!
When the weather is nice there seem to be a ton!
Makes it hard to sit at my desk everyday!
I didn't need to change out the dishes,
I just added a few things
like the cows, the linens,
and a runner with a red
hand stitched border on the middle shelf.
I left the green pottery
and the lavender pot on the top
and added more lavender
and a copper watering can.
A basket on the table holds a few treasures
that kind of said "Breakfast on the Farm" to me.
A silver butter dish, a honey pot,
napkins with red and white checked trim,
the tiered dish from Decor Steals,
and daisies in little tiny pitchers
from Nell Hill's a long time ago.
I folded up a sweet red and white tablecloth
so that it looks like a grain sack
and put the basket on top.
Always improvising!
In preparation for my guests,
I put the extra leaves in the table on each side.
I have two sets of leaves
that extend the table to 10 Feet!
Too big for us on a daily basis
but it sure comes in handy for a crowd!
I'll show you the Hearth Room tomorrow
and the fun changes that I made.
Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves,

Cindy, I love all of your Farmhouse additions! The copper and cow accessories are perfect! Love your sweet vignette on the table, as well! Very pretty!
LOVE IT Cindy!! Ironstone...copper...& cows...whats not to love!!
Luv the farmhouse vibe Cindy. In too have a thing for cows... and chickens :) Mist bring mine out to play. Ooohhh and the iron stone. I am a fool for them. Just did a new display in my hutch with some of mine. Now I want to add the cows and chickens... and get me some cooper. Sorry I have mine away when we moved.
Hugs, Gee
I love your farmhouse theme. The missing ear on your cow just gives her character.
I am in love with that yellow upholstery!!!!! Great choice!
And I would have outbid you for that adorable cow.
I hate to be pushy (but I think pushy is genetic) when I say, a cow is not a HE. A cow is a SHE and I think you must have my sort of brain glitch that you didn't catch this when typing.
Any cow would be glad to have a set of teats like this gal's, so to call her a he must have hurt her feelings! LOL
I'm betting the one in the copper pot is actually a bull and he don't got no teats, baby!!!!!!! Amiright?
I love your dining room, so clean, so light, so organized…all that mine is not….thanks for the refreshing look at a really nice room…….
I'm not from Kansas, but learned about cows and bulls and steers in Arkansas. Pushed real hard, I can even make a steer out of a bull………but those days are over now……..
Hugs
Marje
Everything is beautifully arranged. Such a treat to see your home. Ear for the cow - what about sculpt clay? sculp an ear, paint/distress a tad, and glue on?
I love how you've used the copper pots. I have the same 2 pots and they are in storage...gasp!
Thanks for giving me ideas on using them. Table vignette is going to be used too. I'm going to check your blog to see if you've given any tips on how you clean your copper.
Marje,
You are correct! Well that's what you get from a born and raised California Girl! I will have to change my misinformation... :)
Cindy
I love your decor! I think leave the little cow without the ear, makes it unique that way ;)

Cynthia
Love your cow..Great combo's..White china, copper, red and white check..Lovely
Cindy, I thing that little wooden cow is a cute find. I wouldn't worry about the ear. It's just the patina of time.
I seem to have a cow them going on at times myself. Love the mix of white dishes, red accents, and the copper pieces.
Love your vignettes Cindy and the cow theme! I am a sucker for cows. You have also inspired me to try and work my mama's copper into my decor. I keep trying and it has to feel right. Thanx for joining THT!
I live in a farmhouse on a farm, and your decor would fit perfectly in my home! Your copper urns would look so good with my copper cup-pulls on the kitchen cabinets. The white collection in your cabinet is beautiful!
Blessings,
Kim @ Curtain Queen Creates
p.s. love the cows! :-)
Everything looks wonderful....one great thing about company is that we seem to get things done!...love all of your copper!!
Hi, Cindy! Just let the cow be with his one ear. Name him van Gogh just for kicks! I have considered going all sophisticated moo in my kitchen just to be ironic. (The Sheraton by the OP Convention Center did it quite successfully, I thought!) People think we live in a "cowtown" anyway, so why not just got all in? :-) You've done a FABULOUS job of making cows hip here!!!
Enjoy our hot, muggy weekend ahead!
Love how you also showed off the red checked table cloth and pot holders. Better than stuffed away. Visiting from Home Sweet Home.
I just found your blog. I love your elegant country style! Beautiful!
Great vignettes. Love all the white in the cabinet.
That's a great looking china cabinet. It's perfectly arranged and has lots of interesting things to look at while having tea. It's beautiful!
I just love it all!! I need more cows in my life now;) I'm popping by from the Dedicated House!
Simply charming! Love the warmth of the copper with all the white. And a one-eared cow is kind of cute!
Your dining room is beautiful! Love the whole feel of it!
