Cabin Fever

While on our way up to our Mountain Cabin
a few weeks ago I begged we stopped at an antique store that I've been dying to go ever since we have owned our home. We have passed it a million times but we have always either been in a hurry to get up the mountain or in a hurry to get home.  This was the perfect opportunity
to visit and make my wish list.

Doesn't it just sound like a great place to find treasures for a mountain home?
How sweet would this be for a coffee table?
I'm dying to have some antique skis to hang up.

Beautiful Beds!
Notice the wonderfully detailed etched window screen behind the bed.
These are hand painted wine bottles from 1880-1900 in crates.  Very cool.  I love that they were on trend with their accessories.
Like these doughbowls,

And this light fixture is an olive basket.

So many beautiful pieces of furniture.
Love these pewter dishes.
And why do these Spode dishes always catch my eye?
I'm going to have to steal this idea!
And speaking of stealing ideas... Does this look familiar?
No, I didn't buy anything.
Too out of my price range for the moment.
But it was fun to look!

Antler Fun

OK, you remember when I told you about
these cute little resin Roe Deer Antlers
that I ordered for our Colorado home from One King's Lane?
Since I won't be heading up to the mountains anytime soon I decided to use them here at home for a while.  I had a lot of ideas in mind and I have some future plans for these cuties but for now I just wanted to have some fun with them.
I had these three gold frames that I had picked up for less that $5 each at Estate Sales.
I painted them in Duck Egg Blue ASCP.
And then I framed the Antlers!
I wanted to do something whimsical and fun
for the beginning of Fall.
On one side I used a few of my Friendly Village plates from my tablescape and hung them on the wall.
And I balanced them with two frames on the other side.
Give me an F-A-L-L what does that spell?
Cheap wood squares with Pretty Duck Egg Blue wiped with Old white, antiqued  with  vinyl letters applied is what it spells!  I used twine stapled on the back to hang them on the mirror.
Blue-Green glass jugs sit aside a Friendly Village plate and a white pumpkin to let you know that Summer isn't just a memory.
I've created an easy Floral by layering masses of flowers in a White Ironstone pitcher.  The middle grasses were cut from my yard.  Everything is set atop a plain brown tablecloth draped over my white pedestal.
I'm really loving these colors for fall!
Even my light fixture got dressed up for fall!
A swag of leaves really adds a punch of color.
Entry, Dining Room and Buffet have all Fallen!
Moving into the Kitchen and Hearth Room...

Happy Friday!

The weekend is almost here and I have so many things to do!
I have my Estate Sale Find curtains to hang,
a bench to recover, and more Fall Decorating to tackle.
On the Bloggy side, I have to figure out how best to use Facebook; I get confused as to what I should be posting there so sometimes I just post NOTHING!!!  I need to post some things on Hometalk and Pinterest and now I hear there is a new site called Foodily???
 HELP!  Internet overload!

Here are the cute Resin Antlers that I just ordered from One King's Lane.
Aren't they just adorable?
The plaques are about the size of your palm and I love the detail in them.  I want to bring them up to our Mountain Home but I won't be able to do that for a while.  Guess I will have to use them here in my Fall Decor!
Maybe that's how I keep it so simple up there!!!

Martina from Northern Nesting just asked me about them this morning.  Unfortunately, they are not available anymore but the manufacturer is Expo Home and Garden and they do have a catalog.

What is everyone else up to?
Whatever you do...
Have a Great Weekend!

Until Next Time,
