A Well Deserved Trip To Nell Hill's

Source-Nellhills.com
I told you all about my weekend
of cleaning and getting ready for a showing
and the Realtor Open House on Tuesday right?
Did I tell you how the the people never showed
after we cleaned, vacuumed and mopped the floors?
And did I tell you how they then called 20 minutes
after their scheduled showing time
and wanted to see the house RIGHT THEN???
After we had spent an hour
with three dogs in the car???
Oh Boy,  don't get me started.
On one hand, I realize that we are at their mercy
and we can't sell a house without a buyer
actually seeing it, but on the other hand
I get frustrated by the process...
OK, rant over.
On Sunday I decided to take a ME
day and went with my BFF
and her Mother In Law, Eleanor to Nell Hill's.
I needed a break and to be inspired by greatness!

Of course I wasn't disappointed!
How about some fun February Valentine inspiration?
I love the graphic red and white patterns
mixed with the red and white "stitched" bowls.
Just look at all that cuteness!
And her prices are always so affordable too.
Couldn't you just make yourself at home?
I love the trend toward Navy Blue
and I plan to add more to my home this year.
Need some Mantel Inspiration?
How about classic green boxwood on a white mantel?
More pretty dishes, and as I have noted before,
she has a way of mixing the vintage with the new...
and creating a fresh spin on a classic.
Winter/Spring transitional bedding in greens,
grays and champagne...
I could cozy up to this pretty color combination!
I was particularly enthralled
with this corner detail on all of her pillows.
I could do that...
 Mary Carol has recently expanded
her fabric offerings which is OK by me!
I got lost in the many rooms of fabric dreaming
of what I could create...
And then I remembered one of our missions
was to find pillow fabric for Eleanor's new sofa
and existing wing back chairs (floral in the center).
We got the pillows ordered and got ready to check out.
Here's what I hauled back home.
Just some smalls, because as my BFF puts it
I am in Limbo with the house up for sale.
A nice boxwood plant,
a fern wreath, a small dish with a cute bird in the middle,
two footed planters, and the sweet votive holders
that were only $3.50 each.
Just a few things to make me happy
during this cold and gray winter...

Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves,

I wish I lived close enough to shop there!! LOL
I am in love with the striped greens, blues dish towel in one of the pictures of the table setting, can you tell me anything about it, it would make the perfect addition to my kitchen!!
Thank you!!

Looks like a great place to disappear for a few hours. The fabrics are beautiful. I don't so I always wished I had learned. I'm sure you could spend hours in there. Good luck with the house, I know it's frustrating but hopefully soon enough it will be over.

I remember a couple of years ago when I sold my house..It was hot..No such thing as sitting across the street in my car with my dog..Had to go somewhere..It was a pain and fortunately I only had to do it 3 times..Your house is far and away more to my taste than Nell's..Too busy and too cluttered.. Love yours..
