How was your weekend?
The weather was glorious here in the Midwest!
Signs of Spring are popping up all over,
even in my Entry Way!
One of my first clues that Spring
has officially arrived
doesn't show up on my calendar.
It shows it's bright yellow hues on my side yard.
Look at that beautiful blue sky!
Our temperatures were in the mid seventies
and we worked all day Saturday in the front yard.
Mr. Beaux bought a fancy leaf blower/sucker
that he had fun with
and we filled plenty of bags with leaves and debris.
I planted pansies in the front pots
for some color
and we have lots of daffodils blooming.
My Forsythia bush doesn't bloom
for too long so I wanted to bring
some of the branches inside to enjoy them.
I'm always looking for new ways
to display flowers and I found these cute bottles
or vases at Nell Hill's when I went
to her Botanical Event.
Here they are at her store
with some greenery in them.
I thought it would be fun to have
the different heights and they were very
inexpensive so I bought 6 of them.
I'm sure you will be seeing them on
my table sometime soon.
I got tired of my blue and white bowl
in the entry way so I moved it to the dining room
and replaced it with the boxwood.
I actually had the boxwood in the Hearth Room
but some little puppy thought it was a good snack
so it had to be moved.
I'm not quite ready for Easter decorating
but my little nest gives a nod in that direction.
I know it it coming soon
so I will put a few things out this week.
It's a simple change that didn't take very long.
The guys were working on taxes and watching
some March Madness basketball,
Miss Beaux was packing her things
to go back to school while I was rearranging.
I finished up just in time to start dinner.
We have to take advantage of all
of the good weather we get around here
so we grilled out.
Mr. Beaux cooked salmon on a cedar plank
and I made a warm potato salad with goat cheese...
so delicious!
I also scrubbed the screen porch this weekend
so we sat out there after dinner
and enjoyed the last of the weekend.
What signs of Spring are you seeing where you are?
