I've been on a mission lately
to go through each room
and freshen it up before Spring.
When the mood strikes I take advantage
of it and get moving.
With the new Drexel furniture
down in the basement guest room
I have a new excuse to redecorate!
As if I ever need one...
I just made some small changes
but it took the whole room in a new direction.
I kept the all white bedding
but added a few new
blue and white pillows from Home Goods.
While I was there I spotted these gorgeous
Ralph Lauren lamps.
I really didn't want to splurge
so I left them there overnight.
I was talking to Mr. Beaux over dinner
that night and I told him how much I loved them.
He encouraged me to go back and get them.
Well, you don't have to tell me twice!
Aren't they just fabulous!
And the best part is that they could
go in any room in the house,
not just a bedroom.
I don't have two nightstands in this room
so I put one on the dresser.
Whenever you have a chance
to buy two matching lamps
go ahead and pull the trigger.
You will always be glad that you did.
I also found these curtains at Home Goods.
I am not completely sold yet
but I hung them up to debate
whether I will keep them or not.
I have another bedroom where they will work also...
The shelf in the room got a little makeover.
Much simpler this time around.
I think that the room looks bigger and brighter!
Thanks for all of the suggestions
on cleaning the new furniture.
I happened to have some Murphy's Oil Soap
and it worked beautifully
to remove the grungy fingerprints.
Thanks again whoever gave me that tip!
Hope that your week is off to a great start!
Thanks for following along...
Until Next Time,

LOVE the look of the whole room...beautiful Cindy!
ReplyDeletePS--- hope you come over tomorrow night and link this up at our new party Share Your Style!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful room! Love the curtains but I think I'd like the small stripes at the top.
ReplyDeleteCindy, this room looks so fresh and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWell done, ma'am!
I think the curtain rod needs to be a little higher and I agree with Pat about the small stripes on top.
ReplyDeleteI also like the drapes but I agree that the small stripes need to be at the top, they need to be hung higher and need to be left hanging straight.
ReplyDeleteThe room looks beautiful. I am a blue and white lover so this really appeals to me! I have a blue and white guest room and opted for solid blue cut=rtains. Mainly cause the quilt and pillows have a pattern.
ReplyDeletePretty touches. Don't you just love Home Goods??
ReplyDeleteCindy
So pretty! Love all the blue and white.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Love your make-over. I redid a dresser for my daughter and it was similar to yours. I stained it a little darker then sprayed the knobs a pewter color. It updated it and she loved it. I like the curtains but if it was my house I might try raising the rod and making it wider then hang the curtains straight down. That seems to be the style now. Hope your company enjoys your new room Carol
ReplyDeleteLOVE your new lamps, pillows AND the curtains, the whole thing looks gorgeous!
