~Weekend Update~
We spent most of the weekend doing yardwork.
YAY! It was 79 degrees out on Saturday.
I think my shoulders actually got sunburned
(despite using sunscreen)
working outside from morning til about 4pm.
I waged war with a few juniper bushes
that I wanted out of my yard!
They won a few of the battles but eventually
I won the war!
Hey, I have the battle scars to prove it!
Besides the scratches from yardwork
I have sustained a few other injuries
from just being Klutzy!
I fell down the stairs today,
falling on my tushy
and trying to catch myself with my arm,
hurt my shoulder...
Last week, I bruised up both of my legs
while moving furniture.
Funny how you worry more about whether
anyone saw you...
fall down the stairs...
or trip while carrying an ottoman...
than you worry about the imminent pain
and subsequent bruising...
Anyway...
I didn't get to styling my Master Bedroom
until late this afternoon,
which of course was gloomy and stormy.
I have to tell you the funny story
that happened today!
Miss Beaux and I went out to DSW
to look for Prom Shoes.
We stopped at Target for a Target-Starbucks
and a few other things.
On the way out of the store
it was raining heavily and it started to hail.
Perfect!
We ran to the car with our bags
and when we got inside she says
"Hey, that Hail Hurts!"
I had to laugh!
Yes, ice falling from the sky
and hitting you at a million miles an hour
definitely hurts!
OK, enough chatter let's look at the rug!
Before picture with no rug.
Purchased rug from One Kings Lane.
What do you think?
I love the big pattern with the smaller print.
The rug is still settling in and has a few wrinkles...
But it is the perfect "right now"
rug for the bedroom!
Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves

LOL at our girls running through the hail. I hear you about the bruises and falls. I am always afraid someone saw me and my pride hurts more than the bruises! Your RUG is GORGEOUS! I LOVE it...and it is perfect in that room. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing hail as a small child. But it was a one time event. Snow and blizzards I am used to having lived in NYC and Colorado. But hail.. not so much. I got a giggle at you both.
ReplyDeleteLuv the patterns together. :) Pretty rug.
Happy new week.
PS. Sorry about your fall. a hope all is well.
Hugs, Gee
Sorry for all of your mishaps! I love the rug! The colors and pattern are so pretty and go so nicely with your lovely bed linens! What a big bedroom! Love that too! Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteWe had the same weather over our way. Sorry for the fall and the bruises, war wounds from a decorating diva huh? Love the new rug, the bedding is fabulous! Did it come from One Kings Lane?? Try to stay warm over there today, keeping both feet on the ground with all this wind is going to be a challenge.. fondly ~lynne~
