My table is set and ready for Thanksgiving!
I know that I have shown a few different table settings for Thanksgiving but this one is the real deal.
I was over the moon excited last week
when I went on my normal Estate Sale rounds
and found a set of six Johnson Brothers Friendly Village plates in the larger size.
I have many plates in the smaller size
but they are really too small for dinner plates.
Each plate has a different scene.
I am so in love with the colors.
I placed them on a brushed copper charger from Michael's.
I wish that I had found more but
that just gives me something to hunt for in the future.
I did some other shopping this week for the table.
I found these lovely mercury glass candle holders in a coppery color to go along with the other elements of the table.
They compliment the votives that I already have.
The new tablecloth from Marshalls was a steal at $10.00.
I am a big fan of anything paisley and especially these rich browns, golds and greens.
I set the table with the white napkins that I embroidered
at my MIL's house.
They are such a dear reminder of the week that we spent
with her before she passed.
We were all Thankful that we had that special time together.
I finally found a way to use these napkin rings
that I picked up at an Estate Sale.
The clear squares have a small hole for flowers.
I tied a little acorn that I hot glued onto some twine onto a sprig of pine.
Beautifully simple.
I didn't want them to compete with the floral arrangement
in the center of the table.
I used my silver bowl and
two bunches of flowers from Costco.
I added some apples for color.
Mr. Pheasant isn't so sure of the festivities
but I promised to sit Miss Beaux next to him.
She's a vegetarian so he can rest easy.
I kept the sideboard simple
so that we have lots of room for the serving dishes.
Pretty candles mixed together.
One of my new treasures.
My table for ten.
Pull up a chair and join us!
Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
I have so much to be thankful for
including my new friends that I have made here.
It may sound silly but sharing my ideas and work with all of you has been a bright spot in my life.
You all inspire me!
Have a great day with your family and friends
and even that one drunk Uncle!
Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves,
XO Cindy

Cindy, you are a BRIGHT spot for us too. You are so fun, energetic, and talented. This table is beautiful. The Friendly Village china was quite the find. Happy Thanksgiving, Olive
ReplyDeleteA masterpiece, my love! A true masterpiece!!! That richly colored table topper is the perfect foundation for everything. How cool is it that you found the dishes this close to the big day?!??!!! Hooray! I absolutely love what you did with the napkin rings! That is tee-totally the bomb!!! Like you said, the tiny arrangement makes a huge statement without competing with the fabulous centerpiece. It's just a kiss of a complement to it instead! Love the copper-colored mercury glass holders, too! Your family is going to be in hog heaven....ahem, make that turkey heaven!...tomorrow. Enjoy the day with your family, and I wish you all the best of Thanksgiving! Take care!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, is it wrong to have plate envy???? I LOVE those Friendly Village scenes...so perfect for Thanksgiving. The paisley looks so pretty as a topper...love that idea. Your centerpiece looks wonderful in your silver bowl. Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteWow, those plates look nice against the copper charger...great find. Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving, Cindy.

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.
Hope to see you on my blog:)
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWoW! What an exquisite tablesetting for Thanksgiving!!!
I don't know where to begin. . .
I appreciate your centerpiece!!! I'm having difficulty in deciding on a centerpiece for my Christmas Tablescape. I have finally decided on a heirloom siver bowl and roses. Observing your florals with added fruit may be just the addition I need to consider, as well! I am smitten with your brown tablecloth! I do many "rustic" tablescapes in our Family Room and this would be a "perfect" accent to compliment those hues!!!Thank you for sharing your creative talents with us! Visiting from Yvonne's @StoneGable!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Absoultely beautiful table. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy, your table is STUNNING!!! Your arrangement is just beautiful, I love to mix some fruit in a floral centerpiece. The napkin rings are done perfectly. The silver cabdlesticks are gorgeous and I love the coppery mercury glass ones too! Every element here is beautiful. I am SO ispired. Wishing you and your family a happy and blessed Thanksgiving. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteCopper = BRILLIANT! I have been thinking about a metallic for Thanksgiving... silver was too Christmas-y in large quantities, and gold seemed too opulent for this most humble of holidays. Copper is simply perfect - earthy in tone, completely in keeping with the other natural elements. What a beautiful table!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful table, Cindy, so rich and full of texture!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tgiving and thanks for linking to Let's Dish!

I would love to sit at that table! I would hope to eat at the beautiful plate with the little red house in the distance, I just love that one! What a great find. I was moved by your touching rememberance of your MIL, lovely to have the napkins you embroidered while being with her. Your table is so pretty and elegant. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
