Starbucks Syrup Knockoff

I am having a GIVEAWAY !!! Click here to check it out!

I have spawned a generation of coffee drinkers.  I'm not proud of it but I accept it.  The only problem is that it gets expensive every time Miss Beaux wants to drive thru
 the Starbucks after school.
So we have created our own home version of the popular coffee house to cut down on those outrageous prices.
We have a Keurig Coffee maker, and a Nesspresso Milk Frother.  It's like having our own private Barista right in our Kitchen.
Our latest triumph was this weekend when Miss Beaux was reading her favorite Blog- A Beautiful Mess where she showed you how to make your own syrups for flavored coffees.  We made the Caramel but I will post the other recipes also.
 Here are the ingredients:
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Water
1/2 cup Caramel Syrup
Place the water and sugar in a pan and heat until the sugar dissolves.  Add the syrup and heat through.  When it cools pour it into a cute glass container.
 Vanilla Syrup:
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Water
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
use the same directions as above. (use the clear Vanilla if you can find it)
 Raspberry Syrup
  2 cups Sugar
2 cups Water
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
use the same directions as above but after dissolving the sugar and water add the raspberries after mashing them up a bit.  Allow them to sit for 3-5 minutes and strain before placing in the glass container.
I bought a pair of Oil and Vinegar containers at World Market for $3.99.  That's a great price!  I like to sprinkle cinnamon into my coffee too.
 These cute shakers were $0.99.
One holds Cinnamon and the other holds Vanilla Sugar : Place a Vanilla Bean in sugar and the flavor will infuse.
Let's have some Coffee!
And a snack of course!
Or, maybe you need yours to go...
Whichever you choose one thing is sure.... It was made with LOVE here at

Beaux R'eves!
XO Cindy

  1. Cindy,
You think like we do! Coffee in at our house is best when it is fancy! Often I add a dolop of whip cream and chocolate sauce to finish it out! We have never made our own syrup.... but would love to try! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hey there, sister! I just added this post to my "Favorites" bar thingy. I love caramel syrup in my decaf, but it's so freaking pricey at the store. To make it myself makes SO much more sense! Putting it in those fancy bottles is even better!!! I have made the vanilla infused sugar before, and I love it. I'm going to try to do lavender infused sugar this spring. GREAT ideas to share! Thank you! Have a marvelous weekend!

  4. That looks wonderful! All I have is a coffee maker! So I'll have to enjoy yours!
Thanks for stopping by, so nice to meet you! I am going to follow.
Your painted chest came out great. I read on a blog how to make the chalk paint yourself. I imagine it is expensive to buy.

  5. Great idea. I must admit I like their coffee. I was thinking of a Keurig as a way to wean myself off.

It would be great to have link to Seasonal Sundays.

  6. This is (a) a great idea, (b) wonderful little vignette and (c) super way to spend quality time with kids. You did a super job - we should all have such a cute coffee station.

  8. The syrups looks soooo good. I actually have a jar of caramel topping in my fridge that's just sitting there. Yum. I'm making some for the coffee. Thanks for sharing the recipes.
