I planted my herb garden this weekend.
Late, I know but at least I got it done.
I thought I would use the cute little chalkboard markers that I bought at Target for a dollar, but I didn't like the way they looked. I thought they were too big.
So I looked around on the Internet and Pinterest for ideas and found these cute spoons:
They are adorable and I saw that Tammy at A Walk in the Countryside made some cute ones just like them. Wish I had some little stamps to make them but I don't, so I had to find something to make with stuff I already had on hand.
Ummmm, WINE CORKS!!!
Ummmm, WINE CORKS!!!
Yes, I have those!!!
These took a total of two minutes to make. It might take longer if you have to drink the wine...
I popped the cork (hehe) onto a bamboo skewer after writing on it with a Sharpie. I couldn't just leave them without some kind of embellishment so I wrapped some jute around the skewer using a dab of hot glue and used some Fler-de-lis push pins that I had. I think I ordered them from Ballard a long time ago.
I think they are perfect!
And better yet they were FREE!
And Puppy approved!
Until Next Time,
Beaux R'eves,
XO Cindy

These are darling and the push pins make them so unique! I have been saving my corks to do the same!
XO,
Jane
What a wonderful idea! Penny
I like this idea a lot! Heaven knows I have some wine corks LOL!
Very cute idea.
Cindy, these are adorable! What a great new use for wine corks!
I have wine corks! Lots of them! I can even get more, if I run out! Pinning this. ~ Maureen
How cute are they! I am so totally stealing the idea! They make great garden markers!
What a great idea. I just love this one.
Cynthia
What a great idea, I'm pinning these!!
I love this idea and it's something I have! Thanks for sharing!
I love this idea! But I don't drink wine. Wonder if I could ask someone who does to save them for me?
Brenda
What a great idea, I love it, You always come up with the best ideas.
They are adorable. Did you seal the marker? My experience with sharpies outside is they will fade pretty quickly unless sealed ... usually any spray sealant will work... :)
What a great idea!
I absolutely love this. I have a bajillion wine corks, and I'm putting some in my garden this very day. Hope I can remember where I planted everything.
They are precious! And what a great way to use up all those corks! Love it!!

I really love this idea and want to steal it. Of course, I have to start all over with my pots of herbs because I let them all die. Shhh.
Oh Cindy! I love this idea and might just have to steal...er....borrow it! Thank you for sharing with us at TTF this week! Have a great day.
Your herb markers are sooo cute! You need to market those.
